Desert
survival
The Bedouin knew how to provide themselves not only water but
also desert navigation. The desert is a tough place to live, people survived by
managing their food and shelter. The Bedouin clues about where the water might
be by seeing a flight of birds or in a middle of deep dune valleys, in addition
Bedouin could tell there was water in the proximity by presence of vegetation.
In dire straits, Bedouin would kill the camel to drink the water in its stomach,
the milk of the camels and the goats could serve to replace water. Bedouin are
used to the desert heat to withstand greater dehydration than most. Most people
can survive 24 hours without water, on the other hand Bedouins can last and
extra 24 hours without water.
